It all came down to one vote. Turniphead took the lead early on, leaving its competition in the dust. Allyson Jr and Jordan Jr never received a single vote, but votes for Farley trickled in slowly. In the last few weeks, though, Farley support was on the rise and it looked as though Turniphead's lead might not last. Unfortunately, that support was just not strong enough and Farley's 17 votes couldn't overtake Turniphead's 18. Thanks for playing!

1st Ultrasound Pictures
You can see the head on the right side and the dot above the belly is a little hand!
The ultrasound was absolutely amazing. They only gave us these two pictures, but we were able to see much more as it was being done. The baby was quite active on the monitor (Allyson says we’ll be having a gymnast). We were able to see the heartbeat, arms and legs, the brain, the spinal cord, and even fingers at one point. Based on the crown to rump length (we think it was 5.7 centimeters), they put it at 12 weeks and 3 days along. That changes the approximate due date to April 25th. Now we have to wait 6-8 weeks before we get another ultrasound, but we should be able to determine gender at that point!

1st OB appointment
The first appointment went well, despite me being poked and prodded (and having 5 vials of blood taken!). We asked the doctor a long list of questions and she was happy to answer all of them. We will be getting an ultrasound taken soon because there is still some uncertainty as to the due date. Also, with the high incidence of twins on both sides of our families, we want to check for the possibility of that as well.
