2nd OB Appointment

The wait at the OB’s was exceptionally long, but hearing little Turniphead’s heartbeat for the first time made it all worthwhile. We’d seen the pulsating light on the ultrasound, but hearing it as well makes it feel that much more real. We can’t even imagine how thrilling it must be when each of our other senses are able to experience this child for the first time. Well, maybe not our sense of smell…

We were told to come back in Saturday for Allyson to get more blood drawn and she will also need a flu shot soon (a special one for pregnant women). Needless to say, Allyson is not looking forward to more needles. After our next OB appointment in December, an order will be put in for another ultrasound – the one where we find out the gender!
